April 2026 Recruitment / Application NOC AY26/27 Semester 2 - January 2027 Intake Full Year Programme: Beijing / New York / Shanghai / Silicon Valley / ^Stockholm / Toronto-Waterloo Short Programme (6-month): Indonesia / Japan / Singapore / The Greater Bay Area / Vietnam ^Offered only in the January intake each year Due to the overwhelming number of applications we receive every year, we aim to select the most qualified students to the NOC programme. Therefore, it is important that you read the following information to see if you meet our requirements and to prepare yourself well for the application: Click on General Requirements, Full Year Programme, Short Programme, Documents Required, Shortlisting Guidelines and Appeals below to find out more. General Requirements Expand Students should have an interest in entrepreneurship-related activities and want to experience experiential education. Students should possess the maturity to thrive in a foreign and highly competitive environment. Students on scholarships must check with their scholarship administrators first on their eligibility to participate in the NOC before applying. SoC Graduate Coursework, SCALE, ISS degree, certificate programme and MSVC students are not eligible for NOC programmes. Selected candidates will however only be permitted to embark on this programme after meeting the eligibility criteria as stated above and after successful selection by NOC. Selected candidates holding multiple passports or nationalities, NOC will advise further on eligibility and NOC reserves the right to withdraw the offer should the candidate deemed ineligible. NUS Overseas Colleges reserves the right to withdraw the applications of selected candidates and decide on the intake year for these applicants. NUS Overseas Colleges reserves the right to assign students to any available NOC location, regardless of whether it was selected as a preferred choice in their application. NUS Overseas Colleges also reserves the right to amend the list of available locations at any stage; a location included during the application phase may not be offered at the offer stage. All students on NOC programme MUST have at least one remaining semester of study upon returning to NUS without exceeding their maximum candidature. Students need to have a clean disciplinary record and be a strong ambassador for NUS and Singapore. Students need to complete the Travel Preparedness Course (TPC), a compulsory course for all students planning to participate in any NUS-endorsed overseas programme. The system requires 24 hours to reflect course completion before you can apply for any NUS overseas programme, including the NOC programme. If you have already completed this e-course, you may proceed with your NOC application. If you have not yet completed it and are still considering applying for the NOC programme, we strongly recommend completing the TPC first. Do not wait until the last day of application, as you may not be able to apply in time. Please be advised that late application appeals will not be considered, and NOC will not respond to such requests. Students must have completed CS2103/IS2103/BT2101/CS2113/CS2103T/CS2113T/IS2108 courses at the point of departure of NOC programme (for SoC & CEG students only; not applicable for NOC Singapore). For Cohort 2016 to 2020, FASS students who have completed or are pursuing the year-long NOC programmes are not allowed to read FASS Internship Programme courses. This includes any combination of NOC programmes amounting to a year. For Cohort 2021 and onwards, FASS students are not allowed to read FASS Internship Programme courses (FAS2551/2551A/2552/2552A/2553/2553A) while on NOC programme (for FASS students applying for NOC Full Year Programme or combination of NOC Programme amounting to a year). Students should be enrolled in full-time NUS undergraduate courses. Students should have completed 4 semesters of study and/or individually gained about 70 and above Units at the point of departure and MUST have at least one remaining semester of study upon return to NUS without exceeding their maximum candidature. For Poly students admitted to NUS, you can use your Advanced Units to count towards this 70 Units application requirements. First year undergraduate students are welcome to join the Friends of NOC network which you can learn more about the programme. Students are allowed to fulfil Industrial Attachments (IA) or internship courses or Final Year Project (FYP) using NOC programme, however, subject to NOC's and Faculty's approval. For NOC China locations: Students who previously held Chinese nationality and/or with a Chinese hukou (户口) are not eligible to apply for any NOC China locations. Students of current Chinese nationality are only eligible to apply for NOC Shanghai. *Offered only in the August intake each year. Only applicable for undergraduate students. You should have completed at least 2 years (4 semesters) of studies at NUS at the point of departure and that internship is a compulsory part of the undergraduate university studies. However for E-scholars, we work with your department and our partner university TUM to help you get exemption from the above requirement due to your compressed academic schedule. Notes: All students on NOC programme MUST have at least one remaining semester of study on upon return to NUS without exceeding their maximum candidature. Students must have completed CS2103/IS2103/BT2101/CS2113/CS2103T/CS2113T/IS2108 courses at the point of departure of NOC programme (for SoC & CEG students only). Undergraduate students should have obtained about 70 Units and above at the point of departure and MUST have at least one remaining semester of study upon return to NUS without exceeding their maximum candidature. Graduate students should have completed at least one semester of studies at NUS at the point of departure and have at least one remaining semester of study upon return to NUS without exceeding their maximum candidature. Students should have completed 2 semesters of study and/or individually gained about 40 and above Units at the start of the internship. Students should have at least one remaining semester after the end of the programme. Students are allowed to fulfil Internship Attachments (IA) or internship courses using NOC programme, however, subject to Faculty's approval. Notes: All students on NOC programme MUST have at least one remaining semester of study on upon return to NUS without exceeding their maximum candidature. Students must have completed CS2103/IS2103/BT2101/CS2113/CS2103T/CS2113T/IS2108 courses at the point of departure of NOC programme (for SoC & CEG students only; not applicable for NOC Singapore). Program Application > Supporting Document) before the application deadline: Resume (1 to 2 pages) Latest NUS Unofficial Transcript can be obtained from myEduRec. Please refer to the user guide for obtaining Unofficial Transcript for more information. Year 1 students who have just been admitted to NUS this semester may provide the NUS unofficial transcript at a later stage. A compulsory video introduction of at most 1-minute in MP4 format to introduce yourself. In the video, provide an elevator pitch about yourself, including your introduction, why you want to embark on NOC, the value you can add to companies, and the roles or specific industries you are interested in. Ensure your motivations are aligned with your portfolio. Please provide the video link (e.g. Google drive link or any other drive link) with viewing permissions enabled and include it in your resume. NOC reserves the right to withdraw your application if we do not receive the required documents. Shortlisting Guidelines - Interview and Selection Expand Phase 1 - Interview: Only shortlisted students will be contacted for an interview. An invitation to book an interview slot will be sent to your NUS email address. Students who are not shortlisted will receive a rejection notification via email, and appeals will not be considered for those who are not shortlisted. Note: Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted, and no appeals regarding late submissions will be considered. Phase 2 - Selection: Only shortlisted students are eligible to proceed to Phase 2, which involves a mandatory Mercer Mettl Assessment or Test. Successful completion and passing of the assessment is one of the factors in determining the final outcome of your NOC application. Participation in the assessment does not constitute an official offer at this stage. Appeals Expand There will be no appeal if you are not shortlisted for an interview, not selected after the interview, or not selected after completing any required assessments. NOC selection decisions are final, and we cannot accommodate requests for feedback or reconsideration. Compulsory Courses / Preparatory sessions Upon selected for NOC programme, compulsory attendance is required for the following courses / preparatory sessions in Singapore. NOC reserves the right to withdraw the offer should students fail to attend the courses / sessions. These dates are tentative and may be subjected to changes. The confirmed dates or schedule will be provided to students once you have been officially accepted the NOC Offer. There will also be urgent NOC activities such as visa application, insurance briefing and programme manager’s briefing which will require you to be in Singapore. If you complete your internship placement, have applied for your visa and have also attended the NOC briefings, workshop and etc, there may be small windows where you can take a short vacation for a week or so prior to final pre-departure briefing, visa collection and departure. Selected students can only check for the available dates with programme manager after we link you up with the programme manager and of course after you have been officially offered by NOC.
