Recruitment of N-House Resident Mentor & Resident Advisor for AY23/24
We are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Resident Advisor and Resident Mentor for N-House, the first entrepreneurship-themed residence on campus! As a Resident Advisor or Resident Mentor, you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in helping these students achieve their goals and fulfil their potential.
Resident Mentor
N-House Resident Mentors are the backbone of N-House where they provide invaluable support and guidance to our residents, helping them navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship and develop their business ideas. Resident Mentors work very closely with the staff of NUS Overseas Colleges (NOC), student Resident Assistants (RA) and Resident Advisor (RAD) to enhance the residential life experience of our students at N-House, and serve as mentors, advisors, and resource persons to the residents in the areas of entrepreneurship.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Providing guidance to residents who working on their business idea or are interested to find out more about entrepreneurship eco-system.
- Organizing and conducting regular mentorship sessions for the community
- Connecting students with resources and networks in the entrepreneurship community
- Building relationships with students and serving as a role model and mentor
Terms of Engagement
- The candidate will be appointed by a selection committee comprising of members from the NUS Innovation and Enterprise ecosystem.
- The term of engagement is 1 year, with options to renew annually.
- Candidates must be either an Investor, Entrepreneur and/or active entrepreneurship eco-system builder.
Resident Advisor
N-House Resident Advisor is the heart of the N-House community and plays a key role in creating a positive and supportive living environment for our student entrepreneurs in N-House! Resident Advisors enjoys working with students and developing student leaders and residents in entrepreneurship, and will provides timely feedback, guidance and support to the community and pushes student leaders to reach for the impossible.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Work together closely with appointed Resident Assistant to execute N-House activities.
- Providing counselling and referral services for academic and personal needs of residents.
- Supports crisis management exercises from Halls
- Work together with N-House Resident Mentor to shape students’ experience in Entrepreneurship
Terms of Engagement
- The candidate will be appointed by a selection committee comprising of members from the NUS Innovation and Enterprise ecosystem.
- The term of engagement is 1 year, with options to renew annually.
- Candidates must be a current NUS staff member.
