• Students should possess the maturity to thrive in a foreign and highly competitive environment.
• Students on scholarships must check with their scholarship administrators first on their eligibility to participate in the NOC before applying.
• SoC Graduate Coursework, SCALE, ISS degree, certificate programme and MSVC students are not eligible for NOC programmes.
• Selected candidates will however only be permitted to embark on this programme after meeting the eligibility criteria as stated above and after successful selection by NOC.
• Selected candidates holding multiple passports or nationalities, NOC will advise further on eligibility and NOC reserves the right to withdraw the offer should the candidate deemed ineligible.
• NUS Overseas Colleges reserves the right to withdraw the applications of selected candidates and decide on the intake year for these applicants.
• NUS Overseas Colleges reserves the right to assign students to any available NOC location, regardless of whether it was selected as a preferred choice in their application.

• Students need to complete the Travel Preparedness Course (TPC), a compulsory course for all students planning to participate in any NUS-endorsed overseas programme. The system requires 24 hours to reflect course completion before you can apply for any NUS overseas programme, including the NOC programme. If you have already completed this e-course, you may proceed with your NOC application. If you have not yet completed it and are still considering applying for the NOC programme, we strongly recommend completing the TPC first. Do not wait until the last day of application, as you may not be able to apply in time. Please be advised that late application appeals will not be considered, and NOC will not respond to such requests.

• Graduate students should have completed at least one semester of studies at NUS at the point of departure and have at least one remaining semester of study upon return to NUS without exceeding their maximum candidature.

• Students should have at least one remaining semester after the end of the programme.
• Students are allowed to fulfil Internship Attachments (IA) or internship courses using NOC programme, however, subject to Faculty's approval.

Southeast Asia (Indonesia / Malaysia / Thailand / The Philippines / Vietnam)

• 3-month programme from May to August.
• Students should be enrolled in full-time NUS undergraduate or graduate courses.
• Students should have completed 2 semesters of study and/or individually gained about 40 Units and above at the start of the internship.
• Students should have at least one remaining semester after the end of the programme.
• Students will be awarded with 6 Units upon successful completion of NOC SE Asia 3-month programme.
• NOC SE Asia internship does not qualify for the fulfilment of IA. If students would like to use it to fulfil VIP under self-source internship, they will need to request for approval from their faculty prior to the start of the programme.
• Students who are in their final semester, are not eligible to apply as they will be graduating by then.

Students are required to submit the following documents to myEduRec > External Study Online Application (Under 2. Program Application > Supporting Document) before the application deadline:

• 1. Resume (1 to 2 pages)
  2. Latest NUS Unofficial Transcript can be obtained from myEduRec. Please refer to the user guide for obtaining Unofficial Transcript for more information. Year 1 students who have just been admitted to NUS this semester may provide the NUS unofficial transcript at a later stage.
  3. A compulsory video introduction of at most 1-minute in MP4 format to introduce yourself. In the video, provide an elevator pitch about yourself, including your introduction, why you want to embark on NOC, the value you can add to companies, and the roles or specific industries you are interested in. Ensure your motivations are aligned with your portfolio. Please provide the video link (Google drive link or any other drive link) with viewing permissions enabled and include it in your resume.

NOC reserves the right to withdraw your application if we do not receive the required documents. 

Phase 1 - Interview:

• Only shortlisted students will be contacted for an interview. An invitation to book an interview slot will be sent to your NUS email address.
• Students who are not shortlisted will receive a rejection notification via email, and appeals will not be considered for those who are not shortlisted.

Note: Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted, and no appeals regarding late submissions will be considered.

Phase 2 - Selection: 

• Only shortlisted students are eligible to proceed to Phase 2, which involves a mandatory Mercer Mettl Assessment or Test.
• Successful completion and passing of the assessment is one of the factors in determining the final outcome of your NOC application.
• Participation in the assessment does not constitute an official offer at this stage.

There will be no appeal if you are not shortlisted for an interview, not selected after the interview, or not selected after completing any required assessments. NOC selection decisions are final, and we cannot accommodate requests for feedback or reconsideration.
