• Students should have an interest in entrepreneurship-related activities and want to experience experiential education.
• Students should possess the maturity to thrive in a foreign and highly competitive environment.
• Students on scholarships must check with their scholarship administrators first on their eligibility to participate in the NOC before applying.
• Selected candidates will however only be permitted to embark on this programme after meeting the eligibility criteria as stated above and after successful selection by NOC.

• All students on NOC programme MUST have at least one remaining semester of study upon returning to NUS without exceeding their maximum candidature.
• Students need to have a clean disciplinary record and be a strong ambassador for NUS and Singapore.
• Students need to complete the Travel Preparedness Course (TPC), a compulsory course for all students planning to participate in any NUS-endorsed overseas programme. The system requires 24 hours to reflect course completion before you can apply for any NUS overseas programme, including the NOC programme. If you have already completed this e-course, you may proceed with your NOC application. If you have not yet completed it and are still considering applying for the NOC programme, we strongly recommend completing the TPC first. Do not wait until the last day of application, as you may not be able to apply in time. Please be advised that late application appeals will not be considered, and NOC will not respond to such requests.
• Students must have completed CS2103/IS2103/BT2101/CS2113/CS2103T/CS2113T courses at the point of departure of NOC programme (for SoC & CEG students only; not applicable for NOC Singapore and Southeast Asia 3-month).

• Students are allowed to fulfil Industrial Attachments (IA) or internship courses or Final Year Project (FYP) using NOC programme, however, subject to NOC's and Faculty's approval.
• Students who previously held Chinese nationality are not eligible to apply for any NOC China location(s). Students of Chinese nationality are eligible only for NOC Shanghai and are not eligible for NOC Beijing.

Singapore

• 6-month programme for January and July intakes.
• Students should be enrolled in full-time NUS undergraduate courses.
• Students should have completed 2 semesters of study and/or individually gained about 40 and above Units at the start of the internship.
• Students should have at least one remaining semester after the end of the programme.
• Students are allowed to fulfil Internship Attachments (IA) or internship courses using NOC programme, however, subject to Faculty's approval.

Southeast Asia (Indonesia / Malaysia / Thailand / The Philippines / Vietnam)

• 3-month programme from May to August.
• Students should be enrolled in full-time NUS undergraduate or graduate courses.
• Students should have completed 2 semesters of study and/or individually gained about 40 Units and above at the start of the internship.
• Students should have at least one remaining semester after the end of the programme.
• Students will be awarded with 6 Units upon successful completion of NOC SE Asia 3-month programme.
• NOC SE Asia internship does not qualify for the fulfilment of IA. If students would like to use it to fulfil VIP under self-source internship, they will need to request for approval from their faculty prior to the start of the programme.
• Students who are in their final semester, are not eligible to apply as they will be graduating by then.

Students are required to submit the following documents to myEduRec > External Study Online Application (Under 2. Program Application > Supporting Document) before the application deadline:

• 1. Resume (1 to 2 pages)
  2. Latest NUS Unofficial Transcript can be obtained from myEduRec. Please refer to the user guide for obtaining Unofficial Transcript for more information. Year 1 students who have just been admitted to NUS this semester may provide the NUS unofficial transcript at a later stage.
  3. A compulsory video introduction of at most 1-minute in MP4 format to introduce yourself. In the video, provide an elevator pitch about yourself, including your introduction, why you want to embark on NOC, the value you can add to companies, and the roles or specific industries you are interested in. Ensure your motivations are aligned with your portfolio. Please provide the video link (Google drive link or any other drive link) with viewing permissions enabled and include it in your resume.

NOC reserves the right to withdraw your application if we do not receive the required documents. 

Only shortlisted students will be contacted for an interview. An invitation to book an interview slot will be sent to your NUS email address.

Students who are not shortlisted will receive a rejection notification via email, and appeals will not be considered for those who are not shortlisted.

Note: Late application appeals will not be considered, and NOC will not respond to such requests.

THIS APPEAL ONLY APPLIES TO STUDENTS WHO HAVE ATTENDED THE NOC INTERVIEW and if you are not shortlisted for NOC interview, this appeal process is not applicable to you. Thank you.

Please take note of the following if you intend to appeal after receiving the application outcome and read carefully on the terms and conditions for appeal:

• Students must submit their appeals within 3 working days from the date of the application result being released. Any late appeals will not be considered.
• Students should provide reasons for their appeal, specify the NOC college they are appealing for, and attach any additional supporting documents (e.g. at least 1 testimonial, any portfolio, project work which you have not submitted before during your application) to strengthen their appeal case.
• Students need to complete this appeal form: https://forms.office.com/r/1TaEimKGv1. Please do not submit multiple appeals as this will delay the process.
• Email appeals sent directly to NUS/NOC staff will not receive any reply / be processed.
• For students who have already received an offer, any appeals for a change of college(s) and duration will not be accepted.
• NOC will not provide any feedback or disclose details of interviews as they are strictly confidential.
• The appeal process may take approximately 2 weeks, and the outcome will be sent to students via email. You will receive an email regarding the outcome of your appeal, regardless of whether it is successful.
• Please do not email in to check on appeal status as such emails will not be replied.
