SIA AppChallenge 2021: Past Winners Insights Session #1

Hear insights from our past winners, Joey, Qi Bao and Swee Khim from Triooo, on their experience in SIA AppChallenge 2020.

The SIA AppChallenge Student Track is back for its 2021 edition!

What does it take to excel in the SIA AppChallenge? In this virtual session, meet our winners, Team Triooo, from last year’s AppChallenge.

Triooo is a group of three bright-eyed and ambitious young women who are currently studying Computer Science in SUTD. They joined the Singapore Airlines AppChallenge 2020 to gain some experience and simply have fun. The team believe they could make a difference to the customer experience at Singapore Airlines despite the pandemic situation. Throughout the challenge, they experienced the thrill of coding through the night and their problem solving skills were put to the test.

Join us in this session to find out more about their experiences and what it takes to win the AppChallenge!

Meet Team Triooo:

Triooo is made up of Joey Yeo Kailing, Chua Qi Bao and Yeh Swee Khim.

Joey Yeo Kailing: Joey Yeo is a final year SUTD undergraduate. She's majoring in Computer Science, a field that she never expected herself to branch out to. Fascinated by what coding can do, she is excited to apply what she has learnt to real life cases and ready to make an impact with her work. Throughout her journey, her way of overcoming obstacles has been by believing that nothing is impossible as long as you don't give up.

Chua Qi Bao: Chua Qi Bao is an aspiring Software Engineer embarking on her final year in Computer Science at SUTD. Currently, she is a Summer Analyst at Citibank developing webapps for equities risk checks. On the side, she supports low-income women in sustaining their employability as part of an app development team that pools resources. In her free time, Qi Bao enjoys watching Netflix and is a true foodie who loves trying out new cuisines!

Yeh Swee Khim: Yeh Swee Khim is an energetic and self-motivated software engineer-to-be who is currently finishing her final undergraduate semester. Having received a holistic education in both design and computer science, she seeks to learn full stack development where she can be involved in a project in its entirety, from the front-end to the back-end. In her free time Swee Khim is a creator, immersing herself in personal projects from handmade resin crafts to mobile and web applications. She also enjoys the occasional (or more than occasional) Netflix series.
