NUS Resilience and Growth (R&G) Innovation Challenge: 50K to Better the World

In celebration of NUS’ 115th anniversary, the university will fund 115 innovative projects that will receive a grant for up to $50,000 for six months for selected teams. The grant also allows for a monthly stipend of up to $1,200 for each team member for the entire duration of the project. The R&G Innovation Challenge is currently open for submissions until 31 December 2020. We encourage you to participate by forming teams of three to five members and submitting your proposals. More information on the Innovation Challenge can be found here.

We are excited to announce that NUS Enterprise and Base of Pyramid Hub (BoP Hub) are entering a partnership to collaborate on Social System Innovation in Singapore. Through this partnership, both parties aim to develop a sustainable ecosystem to address Base of Pyramid problems through enterprise-led solutions in the long run. For the NUS R&G Innovation Challenge, BoP Hub has provided five problem statements which offer the chance for teams to address current and real-world issues. Teams can choose from these problem statements (below) derived from five topics — water, food and technology, jobs and employment, renewable energy, and youth engagement with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to work on.

NUS-BoP Hub presents you with an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced mentors in the field of social impact and social entrepreneurship. You are invited to an exclusive online information session to learn from prominent and accomplished social entrepreneurs and experts in their respective fields.
