Manila has emerged as a thriving startup ecosystem in the Asia Pacific region, making the Philippines an attractive destination for innovation and entrepreneurship in Southeast Asia.

According to the latest Global Startup Ecosystem Report (GSER) 2023, Manila's startup ecosystem has experienced impressive growth, with its value increasing from $2.1 billion to an impressive $3.5 billion in just two years—a remarkable 85 percent growth. This growth not only underscores the country's potential but also positions Manila as a compelling choice for building successful businesses.

The city excels in fintech, ecommerce, entertainment, media, and gaming sectors, with promising future growth in agriculture, education, environment, healthcare, and more.

Manila is known for its abundance of young talent and enjoys robust support from both the private and public sectors, including initiatives like the Innovative Startup Act (ISA) and the Philippine Innovation Act (PIA), along with various funding opportunities and grants. The Ease of Doing Business Act which speeds up the creation and entry of more business in the country also provides a conducive environment for entrepreneurial growth.
