Santiago

Santiago, the capital city of Chile, is at the heart of one of Latin America’s biggest startup ecosystem. Blessed with natural resources and a landscape that is the envy of others – Chile is recognized as the country that has everything you need: Glaciers, deserts, mountains, beaches and a thriving wine industry.

Given what mother nature has endowed the country with – it is no surprise that Santiago’s biggest startup industries are focused on mining technology, agritech, foodtech and fintech.

NOC is excited to launch our new NOC Santiago location and we’re on the search for adventurous applicants who are looking to do something different. We want individuals who wants to grow and are not afraid to go further than they have ever gone before.
Would you like to be the ones to bridge the gap between Asia and Latin America?

Chile's startup story is very similar to that of Singapore – a country that needs to go global to grow.

The Chilean government has actively diversified the economy through various policies and programs, aiming to establish an attractive innovation hub. Notably, Start-up Chile, the government's leading accelerator program, has been founded in 2010 to attract innovative startups from all over the world. To date, it has cultivated a portfolio exceeding $1.4 billion and supported over 1,600 startups from 80+ countries, propelling them onto the global stage. Chilean Economic Development Agency (CORFO) manages about 50 programs to support entrepreneurs, including foreign ones.

This ecosystem has birthed three unicorns and a new generation of startup founders that triggered a wave of innovation, resulting in a formidable $5.4 billion startup landscape, with a strong focus on Mining, Agriculture, Food, and Finance.

According to the Global Innovation Index 2021, Chile ranks #1 in Latin America and is followed by Mexico and Costa Rica. In 2020 Chile hit a new high in total venture capital funding at $136M. In October 2021, Chilean Startups received $73.2 million in investments, as reported by VC Insights.
Chile's strong government support and thriving startup scene create an ideal environment for entrepreneurs worldwide.
