A Joint Statement by NUS and Graduate Investment Private Limited and Breathonix

NUS and Breathonix end collaboration

The National University of Singapore (NUS) and Breathonix Pte Ltd (Breathonix) have mutually agreed to bring their existing commercial relationship to an end.

Since 2019, NUS and its wholly-owned subsidiary Graduate Investment Pte Ltd have, through NUS’ Graduate Research Innovation Programme (GRIP), supported Breathonix by providing funding, and equipment to Breathonix to carry out tests and studies to develop technologies used in a breath test system for the rapid screening of various diseases, including COVID-19.

Breathonix is very grateful to NUS for the initial support in establishing the company and will in future no longer depend on NUS’s support and resources.

The collaboration and/or partnership between NUS and Breathonix ended on 3 August 2021. The University will no longer be part of any collaboration, partnership or dealings (business, research or otherwise) with Breathonix. Breathonix will also no longer be regarded as a spin-off company of NUS.
