The true tragedy of climate change is that the communities most affected by it are the ones that did the least to contribute to it. Extreme climate events disproportionately disadvantage the socially vulnerable. Issues such as poor health, food security and economic security are tightly linked to the climate crisis. In particular, the event will highlight how social innovators can help to ensure that climate action results in socially equitable outcomes.
