The Engineering class of 1976 recognised the value of overseas learning experiences and have contributed to an endowed fund to enable financially needy students to embark on their overseas learning journeys at NOC.
Each Award, valued at up to S$6,000, will be given to help recipients cover overseas living expenses and/or entrepreneurial pursuits during NOC programme. Recipients will also get the opportunity to network with the Engineering Alumni and wider NOC community at exclusive events.

The Global Ready Talent (GRT) Programme is an initiative by Enterprise Singapore, administered by NUS. This programme aims to build a pipeline of global-ready talent for Singapore enterprises through exposing more Singaporeans to internships and overseas work opportunities.
The GRT programme supports physical overseas internships in GRT-approved Singapore Enterprises and other Enterprises through quantum as illustrated below:

The Jane Sun and John Wu Sunshine Award was set up in the spirit of supporting education, with emphasis on helping students gain cross-cultural perspectives and acquire global knowledge. Ms. Jane Sun Jie, CEO of Trip.com Group and Mr. John Wu Jiong, Founding Partner & Group Chairman of FengHe Group, are firm believers of giving back to society. They also encourage students to lend a helping hand to others at every opportunity.
This award supports entrepreneurial-minded students participating in NUS Overseas Colleges (NOC) programmes in China. It will allow students to immerse in the rapid growth of China’s economy and develop aspiring entrepreneurs to have a better understanding of China.
Each Award, valued at up to S$3,000, will be awarded to help recipients cover overseas living expenses and/or entrepreneurial pursuits, during NOC China programme. The recipients may also get the opportunity to visit Trip.com Group (formerly known as Ctrip) and meet up with Ms. Jane Sun and Mr. John Wu.

Entrepreneurial talent can come from all backgrounds. The alumni community believes that all students, regardless of their financial status, should be given an opportunity to embark on their NUS Overseas Colleges (NOC) journey.
The NOC Alumni Bursary, supported by the NOC Alumni community, is established to enable more NUS undergraduates who are financially needy to be able to apply for NOC, and to help them defray the set up costs for the programme.

Mr. Foo Jixun, Managing Partner at GGV Capital, is a successful venture capitalist with a proven track record of having invested in start-ups that later grew into global listed companies. His experiences over the years have helped him master cross-cultural perspectives, and these proved invaluable in his multiple investment ventures.
The YTA seeks to inspire entrepreneurial-minded students in NUS Overseas Colleges’ (NOC) one-year programme in China. It allows an opportune platform for students to experience first-hand China’s growth, especially for technologically-inclined entrepreneurs.
Each award, valued at up to S$10,000, will help cover students' overseas living expenses and/or entrepreneurial pursuits, during and after the one-year NOC programme. The award will be disbursed in two tranches of up to S$5,000 each, where the first tranche will be awarded at the start of the NOC programme and the second tranche will be disbursed upon your submission of your progress/performance review.
The Award aims to enrich students' entrepreneurial journey by giving them opportunities to participate actively in entrepreneurial activities such as hackathons, conferences, experiential visits and sharing sessions by successful Chinese entrepreneurs and eco system builders.
Applicants will be assessed and selected upon fulfilling the following criteria:
Be selected for NOC China one-year programme interning in a tech-related company
Possess strong entrepreneurial qualities and potential
Note: Students in 6-month NOC China programme are not eligible for the award.
Successful applicants will be required to:
Submit a one-page profile upon acceptance of the Award
Be a good ambassador of NUS and show exemplary performance during your NOC stint
Share your valuable startup experiences in China with the NUS community, inspiring others to bridge/foster closer ties and greater collaborations between the business communities of China and Singapore
Submit 2 reports, initially on your tech idea and plans at NOC which should detail both your internship work and on the side, any progress you can make on this tech idea/project. The 2nd report will be at the end of your NOC internship to describe your experiences, the journey in China over the 12 months and how the Award benefitted you.
Note: NOC reserves the right to withdraw this award and recover the award amount if any recipient’s NOC performance is deemed unsatisfactory. Award recipients will be re-evaluated at the end of the NOC programme to determine if the 2nd tranche of the award is to be disbursed.

As CEO of NUS Enterprise from 2002 to 2006, Professor Jacob Phang was instrumental in setting up the NUS Overseas Colleges (NOC) to provide students with exposure to the tech start-up landscape and tech-entrepreneurship around the world. The Jacob Phang Memorial Scholarship was established by family and friends of the late Professor Jacob Phang, in honour of his advocacy and contributions.

Each scholarship, valued at S$3,500, aims to help recipients cover tuition fees for the final semester. In each academic year, up to two scholarships will be awarded to deserving students. The recipients are expected to take up accommodation in N-house, an entrepreneurial-themed residence during the final semester will be subsidised by NOC.

The Philip Yeo Innovation Fellows Programme is one of two focal programmes under the Philip Yeo Initiative (PYI), which supports passionate individuals who have their own MAD project or idea.
The PYI is a ground up initiative, administered by NUS Enterprise, to honour Mr Philip Yeo’s contributions and to create a platform for him to develop people and talent. A maverick for public service, his brand of leadership has been codenamed by his proteges as MAD (Make A Difference). His contribution is evident in the success of the creation of Jurong Island and the iconic Biopolis. The PYI aims to grow the MAD Spirit in the future generations of leaders.
To promote Mr Philip Yeo’s MAD Spirit and approach, Philip Yeo Innovation Fellows and Associates will be challenged to embark on their own MAD project over a one-year period.
