🎉 Congratulations on the successful run of the 7th edition of InnovFest Suzhou!

🚀With over 400 attendees, this year’s InnovFest held at NUSRI Suzhou from 18 to 19 November featured two inspiring keynote sessions, six insightful panel discussions with over 30 expert speakers, and an impressive exhibition showcase of close to 40 start-ups from Singapore, China, Chile, Germany, Indonesia, and Thailand as well as from nine Institutes of Higher Learnings and three government agencies. These showcases featured technologies in AI, sustainability, and other cutting-edge technologies, driving forward new possibilities in tech and enterprise. ✨

🎉 Celebrating 30 years of Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) and a decade of collaboration between NUSRI Suzhou and SIP, Professor Yeow Meng Chee, NUS Vice President of Innovation and Enterprise also highlighted how initiatives like InnovFest played an essential role in fostering a global innovation ecosystem. 🤝

🚢 Ahoy there! Together with @maritime_sg, we hosted the annual @pier71sg Great Circle 2024 on 19 November 2024, with over 400 attendees on board.

The event was opened by Guest-of-Honour @dramykhor, Senior Minister of State, @motsingapore and @msesingapore. Highlights included the 8th Smart Port Challenge Grand Finals and the MarineTech Start-up Innovation Showcase.

The CyberSG Talent, Innovation and Growth (TIG) Collaboration Centre (The Centre) launched the CyberCall 2024 (November edition) at Cybersecurity Innovation Day yesterday, attended by over 500 participants. This is the second CyberCall run this year by The Centre — a joint initiative between @nus_singapore and @csasingapore.

The event also celebrated the success of CyberCall 2023, with seven outstanding companies receiving up to S$4 million in funding. 🎉 Congrats to pQCee, Cloudsine, Ensign InfoSecurity, MetaTrust, @st_engineering (Info-Security),@st_engineering IHQ, and Veracity Trust Network!

Mr Christopher Chen, Executive Director of The Centre, highlighted that CyberCall helps level the playing field by uniting public and private sector expertise to tackle real-world challenges and accelerate viable cybersecurity solutions.

Our Technology Transfer and Innovation (TTI) Team was out in full force at last week’s TechInnovation. Themed “Sustainable Urban Living”, this year’s conference saw the participation of over 6000 attendees, and showcased 150 of the latest AI-driven solutions for smart cities, healthcare, and food sustainability over three days.

Guest of Honour Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Trade and Industry Ms @lowyenling.sg visited the @nusenterprise booth and met with Prof Chen Tsuhan, our researchers and the TTI team, who shared about the latest NUS innovations including plant-based abalone, the Aloop collection – circular manufacturing with recycled aluminium, and many more.
We also welcomed delegates from @osakauniversity to our booth to learn about our newly developed solutions, and how they can deepen collaborations with the @nus_singapore.

Thank you to our fantastic TTI team, researchers and supporting partners for making Tech Innovation 2024 a success! We hope you enjoyed the exhibition, gained new perspectives, and built valuable connections to keep moving forward with your innovations.

Meet SiLViA – a virtual assistant by FingerDance, a social impact start-up, designed to support Deaf and hard-of-hearing commuters!

SiLViA communicates in both sign and spoken language to offer real-time travel assistance. Powered by FingerDance’s groundbreaking proprietary Sign Language LLM generative AI technology, SiLViA ensures seamless translation between spoken and sign language for everyone.

Developed in partnership with @sadeaf_sg and SBS Transit, this AI assistant is here to make public transport more inclusive for all. 🌏🤟
