The upcoming edition of the Polkadot Blockchain Academy is taking place in collaboration with NUS Enterprise and AIDF (Asian Institute of Digital Finance) from 20 May to 20 June 2024. The Academy is ready to empower a new cohort of founders and developers, pushing the boundaries of Web3 innovation.

Having made its mark in Cambridge, Buenos Aires, Berkeley, and Hong Kong, the Academy now sets its sights on Singapore, known for its dynamic tech community and innovative spirit. The collaboration with NUS adds a unique dimension to this cohort, promising a blend of academic excellence, real-world applicability and new venture opportunities.

The Academy will take place right here at the heart of NUS campus! It is a 4-weeks classroom-based educational programme, with all fees covered (tuition, accommodation and most meals) by the Academy.

This run at NUS focuses on New Venture Creation. Calling for all aspiring entrepreneurs and founders. Applications have reopened for a limited time from now till mid-February.

Who can apply for the Founders Track?

Those who are interested in acquiring knowledge and connections to pursue entrepreneurial ventures on Polkadot should apply. This includes enterprising developers as well as established founders and business leaders from different backgrounds. We welcome those completely new to Web3, as well as those who have experience building projects on other networks. Successful applicants will be invited to an interview to discuss their application, background and projects they have worked on in the past.

About the Academy

The Polkadot Blockchain Academy is not just an educational program; it's an immersive experience designed to shape promising founders and developers into the architects of tomorrow's blockchain landscape.

Founded by Gavin Wood (co-founder of Ethereum), the Academy is run by leading engineers, researchers, and project founders from the Polkadot ecosystem, Parity Technologies, and the Web3 Foundation.

Led by core engineers from the Polkadot ecosystem and experienced entrepreneurship trainers, the curriculum spans diverse disciplines, from new venture idea generation, validation web3 economics to governance, cryptography, network systems, and more.

In addition to theoretical modules, students dive into hands-on projects in identifying disruptive blockchain new ventures. This practical application ensures that the knowledge gained is not just theoretical but immediately applicable in building real-world blockchain solutions.
