ICE71 graduates 2nd cohort of cybersecurity start-ups

Innovation Cybersecurity Ecosystem at BLOCK71 (ICE71) officially unveiled the latest batch of start-ups to graduate from its Accelerate programme in a Demo Day held on 8 May. Hailing from Singapore, India, Turkey, Vietnam, the US and UK, the 10 start-ups were chosen to participate in the three-month accelerator from over 100 global applicants.

ICE71 is an initiative by NUS Enterprise and Singtel Innov8 to attract the best global cybersecurity talent and foster cybersecurity innovation in Asia.

ADVANCING ENTREPRENEURIAL TIES WITH AUSTRIA

NUS Enterprise has entered into a cooperation agreement with the Federal Economic Chamber of Austria to run an immersion and accelerator programme for Austrian start-ups, set to begin in September 2019. The agreement marks the official start of the Go-Southeast-Asia initiative, which enables Austrian start-ups and SMEs to gain insights into Southeast Asia’s ecosystem and opportunities. NOC WIN AT TECHSTARS STARTUP WEEKEND MUNICH

Congratulations to NUS Overseas Colleges (NOC) Munich student Muhammad Hudzaifah (NUS Engineering) and his team for winning first prize at the Techstars Startup Weekend Munich! Held earlier this month, the Startup Weekend Social Innovation edition saw participants take ideas from concept to creation to solve problems and create opportunities in civic engagement, equal opportunity, economic development, environmental responsibility, healthcare and education. The healthtech start-up announced that it has raised US$35M in Series B financing and received FDA clearance on its RhythmAnalytics software for use in detecting cardiac arrhythmia. Founded by NUS alumnus Kuldeep Rajput, Biofourmis was previously incubated at The Hangar.
