Singapore Valley Awards Info-Session and Networking
The Singapore Valley Awards (SVA) is an annual entrepreneurship award that offers undergraduates, with the most compelling business ideas, a fully-sponsored three-month internship (S$2,000/mth; return airfare included) in China with our Founders’ companies and partner companies, to acquire deeper knowledge of the China market and entrepreneurship in practice.
First conceived in early 2017 by a group of entrepreneurs with China-centric businesses, SVA aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among undergraduates in Singapore.
Our partner companies are: Alibaba Group, 2345.com, Kingnet Technologies, Qunar, GGV Capital and Matrix Partners

PANG Sheng Dong
Co- Chair, SVA
Pang Shengdong graduated from the Economic Management Department of Ningbo University in 1998, and obtained a master’s from the Yangtze River Business College in 2011. He set up 51.com and 2345.com in 2005.
Since 2006, Mr Pang has successively won the award of Chinese Internet Innovator, CEO award of Chinese IT Wealth , the Best Yearly Figure award of iResearch new economic annual conference, New and Vigorous award of Shanghai IT Ten Top Youth, and is one of “Chinese 40 business elites below 40" in 2012 for Fortune China.
Mr Pang has donated a total of 10 million to the earthquake relief after the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008. In 2015, he successively donated a total of 60 million, respectively donating 30 million to Tongji University and Ningbo University, for the Student Entrepreneurship Valley Fund and Reading Fund. In 2015, Hurun Charity List ranked Mr Pang 42nd.
Director (Business Development), Tembusu Partners
Theodora is Director at Tembusu Partners Private Equity. Her areas of focus are in China and Singapore-based companies in technology and education sectors. Theodora’s previous work experience in finance and corporate development include SGX-listed Viking Offshore and Marine Ltd and Veev Interactive Pte Ltd.
Theodora volunteers actively with youth causes as Founder Member and Past Chairperson of the Young Women’s Leadership Connection, Council Member of the National Youth Council (2013-2017) and was Singapore representative to Youth 20 Summit 2014 in Sydney, Australia. She is currently District Councilor with the Northeast Community Development Council.
Theodora holds a Bsc(Economics) with second major in finance from Singapore Management University and an MBA from Tsinghua University. She was a recipient of the prestigious Tsinghua University scholarship, Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the Tsinghua Family Business Club and member of Tsinghua X-Lab.
Founder and CEO, SCI Ecommerce
Joseph Liu, is the Founder and CEO of SCI Ecommerce, the No. 1 Ecommerce solution provider in Southeast Asia for local and overseas brands. SCI's professional management team has leadership experience from Alibaba and Qoo10. Since its launch, SCI has helped brands including Danone, Unilever, P&G, Joyoung and others successfully penetrate through Southeast Asia’s e-commerce market. SCI Ecommerce received investment from Mr. Pang Shengdong in early 2016.
Winner of Lazada Best Seller Award in 2014-2015, SCI has recently been appointed as the exclusive e-commerce solution partner by Lazada Southeast Asia. SCI is also a strategic partner of Baozun (NASDAQ: BZUN), the biggest e-commerce solution provider in China, which further consolidated SCI’s position as industry leader in Southeast Asia. Joseph Liu graduated from Singapore's Nanyang Technological University with a degree in Electric and Electronic Engineering.
Founder & CEO, WeCharge
Since 2008 Jack has founded various companies, includes professional social network CareerAlbum, group buying website Bigdeal (acquired by NTUC in 2011), real escape games Xcape (currently the leading player in the sector in Singapore), online travel agency WeekendGoWhere, and sharing economy platform WeShare. Jack Woo graduated from the National University of Singapore.
