A joint partnership between NUS Enterprise and our partners, Block 71 San Francisco is a US-based co-working space located in the South of Market area to foster closer ties between the start-up ecosystems in Singapore and the US.

Singapore tech companies exploring business opportunities in the US can leverage this facility to better understand the US market, ‘set up shop’ and expand their networks into the tech community, while US-based entrepreneurs, companies and investors can find out more about Singapore and Southeast Asian markets through our events and activities.

What's behind the name

Block 71 San Francisco builds upon the success of Blk71, an industrial building in Singapore, and the enclave of tech start-ups in the island republic.

Established in 2011, Blk71 in Singapore was transformed from an old industrial estate into an influential hub for high growth, innovation-driven technology start-ups in Southeast Asia. Having played a major role in its evolution and the establishing of the start-up ecosystem there, we have brought the same concept, know-how and networks to San Francisco to serve as a bridge between the tech start-up communities in Singapore and the US.
